Dr. Jacob Caldwell is an Adjunct Lecturer of American Politics at the University of Florida.  He received his B.A. from Stetson University, and both his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Florida. His broad research interests concern the interaction between the changing American workplace and Americans’ political attitudes and behaviors, as well as quantitative methodology. In this vein, his dissertation The Political Implications of Precarious Work explores the relationship between exposure to “precarious work” arrangements, best exemplified by the gig economy, and American workers’ political attitudes and voting behavior.
