Wonjung Kim is a PhD student in International Relations and Political Methodology. His research focuses on international relations theory, international security, and foreign policy. His work examines alliance politics, nuclear deterrence, and hierarchy using mixed methods, integrating formal modelling, quantitative analysis, and qualitative approaches to identify causal mechanisms and develop theoretical models. His current research explores how systemic constraints interact with state beliefs and perceptions, with particular emphasis on signalling dynamics.
