Shane Regoli is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Florida, specializing in International Relations. His security studies focused research reconsiders Revolutions in Military Affairs in an era of rapid change. He introduces two concepts: "Reverse RMAs," where non-state actors use low-cost commercial technologies to force state-level responses, and "Commercial RMAs," where authoritarian states leverage dual-use technologies from private-sector entities. His work argues that this dynamic can compel states to shift from deliberate grand strategies to more reactive, emergent strategies, constantly responding to technologically-driven events. Prior to UF he earned a M.S. from The George Washington University.
