Leslie Paul Thiele teaches political theory and serves as Director of Sustainability Studies and the Center for Adaptive Innovation, Resilience, Ethics and Science (UF CAIRES), overseeing its Active Learning Program. His research focuses on political thought, sustainability, and emerging technologies. His journal articles have appeared in: American Political Science Review; Political Theory; Perspectives on Politics; Polity; Theory and Event; Environmental Ethics; Politics and the Life Sciences; Journal of Modern History; Policy Studies Journal; Journal of Environmental and Sustainability Science, International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education and Climatic Change, among others. He has published 9 books, including Sustainability (Polity 2016) and The Art and Craft of Political Theory (Routledge 2019).
