Joseph J. Bilsbrough is a PhD student in Political Science at the University of Florida. His research lies at the intersection of political theory and comparative politics, with a focus on populism, far right ideology, cosmopolitanism, and institutional design. He employs qualitative methods and conceptual analysis to examine how populism shapes transnational institutions and cosmopolitan ethics in terms of public policy and democratic backsliding. He is a TA for the course ‘Introduction to Political Theory’ and holds an MA in Political Science from the University of Manchester and a BA in Journalism from the University of London.
