Dilruba Tas is a sixth-year PhD Candidate and ViCS Predoctoral Fellow in the Department of Political Science at the University of Florida. Her dissertation examines wartime strategies of non-state armed groups, with a focus on how rebel organizations strategically communicate women's roles and gender frames, and the effects of these choices on domestic and international outcomes. Her broader research interests include conflict processes, political pyschology, and the application of machine learning and AI to conflict forecasting.
