Alejandro Trenchi is a PhD student in Political Science at the University of Florida, and is interested in historical political economy questions. His research primarily revolves around energy politics and policy. Before starting his doctoral studies, he served as the Director of Research and Programs at Global Americans, a DC-based think tank focused on U.S.-Latin American and Caribbean relations. Alejandro holds a Master's degree in Political Science from Leiden University and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from Universidad ORT Uruguay.
