Ábel Csathó earned degrees in Sociology and Economics from Corvinus University of Budapest and the London School of Economics. His research interests include social mobility, elite closure, and the political economy of health and populism. Prior to joining the University of Florida, he worked at the TÁRKI Social Research Institute and the Centre for Social Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He also participated in several research projects at Georgetown University in Qatar. Ábel has a strong quantitative background and extensive experience in survey research, statistical modeling, and data analysis. He previously worked as a Survey Specialist and taught Statistics at Eötvös Loránd University.
