Amie Kreppel is a Jean Monnet Chair (ad personam), Director of the Center for European Studies and a Professor of Political Science at the University of Florida. She was the 2016 Fulbright-Schuman Chair at the College of Europe and a past Fernand Braudel Senior Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI) and been a visiting faculty member at the Université Louis Pasteur (France), the Institut für Höhere Studien (Austria), the l’Institut d’Etudes Européennes, Université Libre Bruxelles (Belgium) and the Università LUISS Guido Carli (Italy).  Dr. Kreppel has written extensively on the political institutions of Europe, the EU and Italy. Her publications include a book on the Development of the European Parliament (Cambridge University Press), as well as two co-edited volumes on Decision Making After the Lisbon Treaty (Routledge) and Italian Politics (Il Mulino/Berghann) and articles in a variety of journals including Comparative Political Studies, the British Journal of Political Research, European Union Politics, the European Journal of Political Research, Public Administration, the Journal of European Public Policy and the Journal of Common Market Studies. She is a past president of the European Union Studies Association (EUSA), the APSA Conference Group on Italian Politics.
